Tahj Brooks

Running back Tahj Brooks was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2025 NFL Draft. A Texas native, Tahj played for five years as a Texas Tech Red Raider starting in 2020. In 2023, he became the first Texas Tech player in the 21st century to achieve four consecutive 100-yard rushes; his sixth made him the first Red Raider to surpass 1,000 yards in a single season since DeAndre Washington did so in 2015. In late 2024, Tahj became Texas Tech’s all-time leading rusher. He was twice a semifinalist for both the Doak Walker Award and the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award. As a super-senior in 2024, Tahj was also a co-honoree as Big 12 Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Tahj holds a bachelor’s degree in sport management and a certificate in sports communication.
