Forward Messiah Bright joined the Angel City Football Club in 2024, following a debut season with the Orlando Pride. A Dallas native, Messiah scored a school-record 50 goals in 102 games during her time at Texas Christian University and was a leading scorer during her time in Orlando. She was a finalist for the National Women’s Soccer League Rookie of the Year in 2023, and was the first player in NWSL history to earn both Player and Rookie of the Month honors in the same month. Messiah has also represented the U.S. internationally, earning call-ups to the U.S. Women’s National Team under-18 squad in 2018 and to the USWNT under-23 squad in 2022.
